The Bridge Leadership Foundation – TBLF is looking for motivated, interested and skilled youths passionate about leadership development to join our team of interns for 2018. Internship position exists in ICT/Website/Graphic design.

ICT/Website/Graphic internship provides the opportunity to build a portfolio in the development sector and help meet an important social need in an organization with robust international prospects.

Expected duties include but not limited to working with the programme coordinator to

  • Assist to conceptualize and manage the organization’s website as well as format and design electronic newsletters for our target audience and partners.
  • Assist to support the maintenance and updating for the back-end of TBLF website
  • Assist to publish approved content on TBLF various social media platforms
  • Work closely with the Executive Secretary, TBLF Staff and Board members to develop content for the website, electronic newsletters, and social media platforms

Interested?

  • Applicants must be graduates and should have proficiency in technical web development tools (WordPress, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and firm grasp of the back-end and digital space. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms. • Knowledge of HTML or other digital coding. • Impeccable grammatical, spelling, and proofreading abilities, Effective communicator – both written and oral. • Ability to work independently as well as in partnership with a team. • Ability to define and work to deadlines. • Be self-directed and willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented

Position Details:

Part-time Internship: 15-20hours/week (2-3 days/week)

Grant development/proposal writing internship provides a unique opportunity to learn and build capacity with respect to identification of appropriate grantors, execution and submission of grant requests and would require fluency in English language, strong research, writing and analytical skills.

Expected duties include but not limited to ASSIST the Programme Coordinator with:

  • Prospect identification, research, proposal development and writing in conjunction with staff and volunteers
  • Accurate and timely production of final proposals
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with grantors
  • Track and document communications
  • Assist with updating and maintaining Daily Work donor database
  • Research potential major donor prospects
  • Assist with donor outreach and cultivation

Interested?

Applicants must be graduates and should have appreciable knowledge in research and/or grant writing. Applicants should have understanding of or prior work/volunteer experience in a non-profit organization. Applicants should possess excellent writing, verbal, proof reading, editing, phone and organizational skills. Applicants should also be flexible, a team player self-motivated, and detail oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, excellent phone manner and communication skills, ability to prioritize and work well under deadline. Applicant should also have computer aptitude and Microsoft Office experience.

CALL FOR MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER

The Bridge Leadership Foundation – TBLF is looking for a motivated, interested, skilled and experienced person who is passionate about leadership development to join our team. Vacancy exists for a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

The M&E Officer will coordinate and work with the programme department to design and ensure effective coordination, implementation and recording of quality outcomes of all programme activities at TBLF

Main duties and responsibilities:

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of the Project. He/she will develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence recorded by the activities of the Foundation.

Specific duties:

  • Assist in the revision of the project log frame matrix, particularly in the areas of performance indicators and their measurement;
  • Assist in the development and/or finalization of the project Work Plan and keep it updated in accordance with project activities and time-frames as relevant.
  • Develop the overall framework, for project M&E, for example mid-term project review, impact assessment, final evaluation, develop project Performance Monitoring Plan with relevant data collection systems.
  • Review the quality of existing data in all programme subject areas, the methods of collecting it, and the degree to which it will provide good baseline statistics for impact evaluation.
  • Develop baseline data for each programme component and for all project indicators.
  • With collaborating partners, review their existing approaches and management information systems and agree on any required changes, support and resources.
  • Develop a plan for project-related capacity-building on M&E and for any computer-based support that may be required.
  • Organize and undertake training with collaborating partners on M&E as required.
