The wise king Solomon talked about the inevitability of events happening at their appointed time. Sometimes we wish that some of those events had happened earlier, later or never. Coming to the Graduate Employability Training, GET V can best be described as an event that happened at the right time. Though I wish it had happened earlier. The five days training is worth much more than four years of study in the university. An indelible mark has been left in my life. For me, writing a business plan, creating blogs, preparing an elevator speech etc. are some of the great stuff I took away from GET V. After the training at GET V, I have tried to use the principles learnt to create a better life for me and those around me. I have gone ahead to establish a theatre troupe, The Great Nation Initiative (TGNI). The organization is committed to promoting unity amongst Nigerians using stage plays/Film. This is my own way of contributing to the growth/development of my father land. This has given a lot of young people a platform to utilize their talents instead of sitting idle. Our effort has been yielding positive result. GET V afforded me the opportunity to meet new people. This has become added value to us all. I have led the GET V Class to metamorphose into a company, Creative Investment Venture (CIV). This could not have happened if we did not meet at GET V. My writing skills were further given a boost as a result of the training received. Today, I have created my personal blog and am managing two other bIogs for people. One of my articles was accepted by the Global Youth Forum held in the month of August, 2015 in Jordan, as my contribution to youth, peace and security development. I have served as Rapporteur to GEMS3, a UK DFID funded programme in Nigeria. This means my writing Skills have served international organizations. Thanks to The Bridge Foundation. The benefits of the training keep unfolding every day. I am greatfuI to the founder H. E Sen LiyelImoke, for creating this platform. This is the only way our nation can be assured of a bright future because tomorrow's leaders in all spheres of Life are being trained today. Thank you to members of the board of the Foundation. Thank you to the Executive Secretary and you are God-sent. Thank you to aII members of staff at The Bridge Foundation.

It’s generally said that desperate people engage the gear for desperate things, “positively” if their expected desire must come in consonant with daytime. Apparently, coming in contact with TBLF was like a miracle because I was desperately in need of some form of elucidation about life as a young graduate, who has so much craving for success and also willing to take up challenges by solving problems and to facilitate my opportunities as my life keeps unfolding. Consequently, my appearance in TBLF came on board with the aid of her advert via billboard and banners in the city of Calabar that kept routing and inspiring me in line with her impending Saturday, August 1, 2015 career day event, tagged “Career and Entrepreneurship Trends: Survival Strategies”. However, keeping a date with this impressive event has indeed changed my world in such short time, after positioning myself and listening with acute attention to a number of speakers, Gbenga Sesan- Executive Director, Paradigm Initiative Nigeria, Affiong Williams- Founder/CEO Reel Fruit, and AtunyotaAlleluya- a.k.a. Alibaba. Instantaneously, my mind’s eye popped open and my mind was made up not to be found wanting with excuses and tags for failure, but to maximize my opportunities and talent to the fullest. Literally speaking, each of the speakers crippled and broke every perimeters of failure within me by helping me find my footing and also projecting my passion which has sniffed so strong to enable me drive my skills. This has also assisted in empowering me to take positive responsibility for my life and to be creative as a young person rather than exist below my potentials. In the course of the programme a job test was also steered and conducted wish I reluctantly gave in to, courtesy of a friend who sat by me. Auspiciously, I made it as one of the successful candidate even when I least anticipated but he did not. Subsequently I was contacted by TBLF and recommended for a three month internship with Cross River Broadcasting Corporation, (CRBC) Calabar, which I gladly acceded and gave in my best. This internship experience was undeniably a plus to all I have acquired in the course of my encounter with TBLF. In summary, I would cap it up by saying words can’t fully articulated my TBLF experience because it’s still beyond telling and beyond my imaginations.

Eno-obongEssien CEO, Eggs Foodis Culinary Services

My name is Eno-obongEssien, MD/CEO of Eggs Foodiz Culinary Services. I am an indigene of AkwaIbom state. I am the first child of three siblings. I am 24 years old. My experience at The Bridge Leadership Foundation’s Graduate Employability Training (GET-V), I must say was a life changing experience for me although I was recommended by my Pastor, AkomayeUgar, who is a mentor at the Foundation. To me, GET was one of those thousand seminars people attend to boost their curriculum vitae, and I saw it as an opportunity to get certified while I prepare for the labour market. During the course of the programme, we went through a couple of trainings, which birthed my dreams. I have always wanted to own and run a food enterprise but how to begin has always been my challenge because of my fear for failure. During the course of the training, I had an opportunity to speak with one of our trainers. Mr. TemitopeSodeinde, former special adviser to the Ogun state government on Commerce and industry. After sharing with him the several attempts I have tried in owning my food enterprise, all he said was “KILL YOUR FEARS AND START”. After that day, all I kept hearing in my head was start, and just like magic, few days after the training I embarked on the journey to birth my dreams, which is still a surprise to me to this moment. Today I am pursuing my dream and I am a young and proud CEO “EGGS FOODIZ”. I want to say owning and running Eggs foodiz would not have been easy but those trainings we received just like gold is passed through fire and clay through the potter’s hands has shaped, refined me and has brought me this far. I will always be grateful for the opportunity offered to me through my participation at GET-V and most especially thank my Pastor who recommended me for the training. God bless you and there is no success story without you sir. Eggs Foodiz is a culinary service establishment that offers various kinds of food services, the basic aim of this idea is to try as much as possible to take away or bare any form of stress that comes with eating good food and for this reason, we came up with various services to take care of that, these services include;
• A Mobile Kitchen Service
• Vendor Sourcing
• Domestic Logistics
• Home Cooking
• Event Catering
• Mini Market
• Nutritional Consultancy
