The Career Day is the Foundation’s flagship event aimed at inspiring and empowering young people to choose the right career paths and make informed decisions regarding their personal development. The Career Day provides a platform for young people, who are seeking to enter the job market, at the start of their career or aspiring to be entrepreneurs, to learn from accomplished entrepreneurs and professionals who have made major achievements in different sectors.

The Emerging Entrepreneurs Dialogue is the Foundation’s outreach to young entrepreneurs in the state. The dialogue promotes entrepreneurship, highlighting the benefits of Enterprise Development and offers a support system to practicing and emerging entrepreneurs.
Other Features within The Emerging Entrepreneurs Dialogue includes:
- The Business Clinic
- Networking Sessions.
The Graduate Employability Training (GET) is a five-day intensive programme designed to improve the employability potential of young people in Cross River State. The GET seeks to ignite a drive for continuous personal development in the beneficiaries and their close contacts and create high value personnel, thereby improving the quality of the active labour force in Cross River State. In the past five years, the GET has provided a platform to stir up creativity and innovation in young people, as well as explore values and principles that can enable them to succeed in their chosen careers.
The Mentoring programme leverages on the experience of mentors in different sectors, by transferring such expertise and knowledge to young people through a mentoring relationship. The six-months one-on-one mentoring programme provides guidance for less experienced mentees to discuss career and business issues with their mentors. At the end of the programme, the mentees would have developed key skills such as foresight, problem solving, goal setting, communication and analytical thinking, in addition to achieving their particular objectives set at the start of the programme.
The Football for Youth Leadership Programme is part of the Foundation’s sports for development initiative. Aimed at grooming young leaders aged 16 to 23, the programme teaches leadership and fair play skills to young people, using the game of football as a tool.
The project also focuses on:
- Enhancing the capacity for youths to appreciate the game of football beyond scoring goals.
- Grooming a TBLF Team to participate in other national FIFA-accredited projects around Nigeria.
- Enhancing the capacity of young people in using the common passion of football to drive the development of communities
- Inculcating the values of respect for others, teamwork, team spirit, gender equality and sportsmanship, raising the leadership potentials of young people to take responsibility for their future.
Other life skills such as Decision Making, Goal Setting, Gender and Gender based Violence, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Creativity and Entrepreneurship are also studied in the 3 weeks course.
The Leadership and Community Development Tour supports young people between the ages of 12-18 to better understand their roles as change agents in community development. It is designed to teach young people about leadership and the roles they can play in the development of their communities.
The Bridge Scholarship is an outreach project born out of the Leadership and Community Development Tour. The project currently provides scholarship to children from local communities who cannot afford minimal educational requirements to attend government schools such as tuition, school uniforms, books, bags and sandals.
