The Programme also accommodated 3 weeks of poetry and spoken word coaching sessions for Mentees covering the 14 TMP schools within Calabar South and Calabar Municipality. The objective was to expose all our Mentees to the art of “spoken word” and to identify upcoming mentees with talent or keen interest in spoken word.
Mentees were guided on how to deliver spoken word spontaneously and on how to develop beautiful and educative scripts using leadership quotes, rhymes and figures of speech, how to memorize and further deliver finished work before the entire group members and a larger audience.
Finally, 15 Mentees who had the best piece and also identified to have a good sense of confidence were selected for further coaching in preparation for a performance during the Foundations annual education summit coming up in November 2021.
