In the second week of May, we embarked on our Leadership and Community Development Mentoring Programme (LCD) Tour, visiting five Local Government Areas: Bekwara, Obanliku, Obudu, Calabar South, and Calabar Municipality. The tour involved training workshops at various host schools with over 1,400 students trained during the leadership workshop.
At Bekwara Secondary School, the sessions focused on essential topics like goal setting, leadership, self-discovery, and problem solving. The following days saw workshops at Girls Secondary School (Obudu LGA) and Obanliku Secondary School (Sankwala).
We then moved to Calabar, holding a two-day training in Calabar Municipal and South LGAs. The sessions, held at West African People’s Institute (WAPI) and Lutheran Primary School/ Calabar South LGEA office, engaged a large number of students with our comprehensive modules.
These workshops provided invaluable learning experiences for the students, equipping them with critical skills in leadership, self-discovery, and problem-solving. We are excited about the positive impact these sessions will have and look forward to seeing them apply these skills in their communities. Stay tuned for more updates and success stories as we continue empowering the next generation of leaders.
