In August, the journey of our Fellows took an inspiring turn. Each session was another step in shaping them into the kind of leaders Nigeria truly needs.
The month began with a powerful masterclass by Prof. Haruna Dabin, who opened our eyes to the realities of Financing Your Campaign. Soon after, Prof. Anthony Kila took us beyond borders with a deep dive into Global Perspectives in Political Leadership, reminding Fellows that leadership is as much about vision as it is about values.
One of the most memorable moments came during our fireside-style panel, “A Peek into the Back Office.” Here, practitioners like Mr. Ifeanyi Okereafor, Mr. Sanni Dotun, Rev. Francis Adebayo, and Toluwani Ojo-Lanre pulled back the curtain on the hidden side of politics—sharing candid, real-world lessons that books often leave out.
August also marked the start of our fourth module on Election Management. Expert facilitators like Barr. Joe Edet, Rev. Francis Adebayo, and Hamzat Lawal guided Fellows through the intricacies of elections. To crown it, we held the X Space Green Circle Conversation, where civic voices gathered to discuss community building and insecurity—a timely reminder that politics is about people first.
Every session this month reinforced our mission: raising leaders who embody ethics, courage, and vision. Leaders who are not just chasing positions but seeking to transform society.
As our Fellows advance, one thing is clear—Nigeria’s political future is in capable hands.
