The Bridge Leadership Foundation was selected alongside five Civil Society Organizations in Cross River State to implement the Victims Support Fund – VSF Programme which kickstarted on Friday 22nd of July with the distribution of food items to 250 indigenous households in specific Local Government Areas in Cross River State.
TBLF team mapped out target communities and the various gatekeepers, as well as the vulnerable people and groups. Odukpani, Bakassi and Abi Local Government Areas were selected and community meetings for sensitization and advocacy were also held with the Council of Chiefs in the respective LGAs.
The beneficiaries’ selection, enrolment and service delivery process was made easy through our collaboration with Community Stakeholders, Primary Health Centres and other Civil Society Organizations.
The Foundation, recorded a good number of instant testimonials from beneficiaries under different categories as they stated that the support was massive and unprecedented, especially because each person went home with a 10kg bag of Rice, 5kg of Beans, 7.5 kg of Garri, 2.75 litres of Vegetable oil and 1kg pack of Salt in branded VSF bag and containers.
Victims Support Fund relentlessly works to provide relief to victims of insurgency and armed conflict in Nigeria.
The Foundation is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the process of providing humanitarian service to the people of Cross River State.
