MARTHA LAWRENCE
Programme Coordinator

Martha Lawrence has over 8 years working experience in community and school based projects and programmes. Prior to joining The Bridge Leadership Foundation, she worked with Initiative for People’s Good Health (IPGH), Calabar as the Programs Coordinator on STEER (Systems Transformed for Enabling Responses to Vulnerable Children and families) project, implemented in collaboration with Save the Children International, Calabar  and funded by USAID. With the STEER project, she has worked as the “Focal Person” for Gender Based Violence, Child Abuse and Adolescent related issues.

Martha has long worked with Initiative for People’s Good Health from the birth stage unto its expansion stage which availed her opportunity to skillfully contribute to the capacity building, socio-economic empowerment and psychosocial health of community children, youths and adults.

Martha is a graduate of Mass Communication from the Our Saviour Institute of Science, Agriculture and Technology Polytechnic, Enugu and a PGD holder in Social Work – in view from University of Calabar, Calabar. She is also certified in Project Management and Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Worthington DC, United States of America.

Martha is highly passionate about working with children, youths and adults especially in behavioural change communication, leadership and capacity development and poverty eradication programmes. She is also well equipped in the area of community advocacy, sensitization and resource mobilization, project management, monitoring, evaluation and research, adolescent mentoring and program strategic plan development.
