The 3 Days Training of Trainers workshop for the 2022 Transformational Mentoring Programme was held from Wednesday 23rd February until Friday, 25th February 2022.
The training seeks to increase and better improve the capacity of TMP Mentors to understand Mentoring in contemporary context some of which include what Mentoring is, mentor-mentee relationship, and communication skills among others.
The Training featured three social development experts – Richard Balantine, Ndodeye Bassey-Obongha, and Chibuzor Agomuoh during the respective days. Part of the sessions facilitated include Understanding Mentoring, Mentoring and Personality, Mentor-Mentee relationship, Case Management, Adaptability in Leadership, Counselling and Problem-solving skills, Effective communication, and other life skills. The facilitators adopted lots of result-oriented techniques that best suit the session including Case studies, group work activities, experience sharing, analyzing scenarios, questions, and answers, role plays, etc.
