LEADERSHIP ADVOCACY PROGRAMME

The monthly Radio talkshow for the month of June focused on strengthening youth capacity for leadership.

The key resource guests included Ms. Faith Okon, Assistant Head of Presentation (Radio) at CRBC, now Press Secretary to the First Lady of Cross River State, and Mr. Chibuike Egbujiem, CEO of Sound Mind Buildup. The topic discussed was “LEADERSHIP: EXAMINING THE SETBACKS AND OPPORTUNITIES.”

The unique perspectives of the speakers exposed listeners to new knowledge and values. Mr Chibuike emphasized the role that successful leadership plays in business, economy, life, and every aspect of our individual pursuits. He added that leadership starts by utilizing opportunities and excelling in small tasks, through which one can be trusted to lead much better in bigger assignments. Miss Faith identified bias as a major hindrance to African leadership development because capacity is often not the deciding factor for choosing the right leaders; instead, leaders are wrongly chosen for selfish purposes.

The radio talkshow is featured as a LIVE conversation on Hit 95.9FM and on our Instagram page every second Monday of the month.

The Bridge Leadership Foundation is a non-profit leadership and capacity development Foundation established in 2011 committed to raising generations of transformational leaders.
