During the third quarter of 2026, The Bridge Leadership Foundation (TBLF) continued to advance its leadership advocacy efforts through its Leadership Advocacy Programme (LAP), using timely conversations and commemorative events to engage the public on issues affecting young people, education, and leadership development.
The programme featured two special editions in August and September, commemorating International Youth Day and International Literacy Day, respectively. Both editions provided platforms for thought-provoking discussions on personal responsibility, youth empowerment, early childhood learning, and the shared roles of parents and teachers in shaping the next generation.
Key Programme Activities
- August 2026 International Youth Day Special Edition: Theme: “Are Young People Limited by Their Circumstances or Empowered by Their Choices?” featuring Blessing Alims
- September 2026 International Literacy Day Special Edition: Theme: “Who Should Lead a Child’s First Education?” featuring Mr Pascal Igbang and Dr Verval Egbe.
The third-quarter editions of the Leadership Advocacy Programme strengthened public engagement around two important areas of human development: youth empowerment and foundational education.
By addressing these themes through commemorative discussions, LAP connected international observances to practical issues affecting individuals, families, schools, and communities.
The August edition encouraged reflection on the balance between personal agency and external circumstances in shaping young people’s futures. The September edition shifted attention to the foundations of learning, emphasising the complementary roles of parents and teachers in a child’s educational development.
Together, the sessions reinforced the importance of informed decision-making, shared responsibility, active participation, and supportive environments in developing responsible citizens and future leaders.
The programme also provided an opportunity for TBLF to extend its leadership advocacy beyond formal training spaces by using public conversations to stimulate awareness, encourage reflection, and promote constructive engagement on critical social issues.
