LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MENTORING PROGRAMME

(COMMUNITY PROJECT IMPLEMENTED BY MENTEES)

It’s truly inspiring to see the incredible initiative and dedication demonstrated by the students involved in the Leadership club activities and the LCD programme schools across Cross River State. The fact that these young change agents took it upon themselves to address a critical issue like the lack of urinary facilities in their school community speaks volumes about their leadership potential and commitment to creating positive change.

Their resourcefulness in mobilising abandoned blocks and initiating the construction project is commendable, but equally important is their willingness to seek expert advice and address potential challenges proactively. It’s heartening to see that they are not only focused on completing the project but also prioritising safety and sustainability.

At the Foundation, we believe that leadership is not just about holding positions of authority but about taking responsibility and taking action to make a difference in one’s community. The testimonial of these students’ efforts serves as a powerful reminder of the impact that young leaders can have when given the opportunity and support to thrive.

We are proud to support initiatives like this that empower young people to become catalysts for positive change in their communities. We look forward to seeing the continued progress and safe completion of the urinary construction project and the ongoing leadership activities in the LCD programme schools.

To our young leaders, keep up the fantastic work and know that your efforts are making a real difference in the lives of others.
