During the August holiday, The Bridge Leadership Foundation (TBLF) successfully hosted its three-week Leadership and Tech Summer Bootcamp 2026, providing eight teenagers with an opportunity to explore their leadership potential, develop essential life skills and gain exposure to foundational technology and creative skills.
Designed to prepare young people for an increasingly dynamic and technology-driven world, the bootcamp combined interactive leadership sessions with practical technology lessons and creative activities. Participants explored key leadership competencies, including emotional intelligence, empathy, effective communication, critical thinking, smart decision-making, resilience and adaptability. Through guided discussions and practical exercises, they were encouraged to build self-awareness, strengthen their relationships and develop the confidence to make responsible decisions.
The technology component introduced participants to basic frontend development, AI video generation and video editing, opening their minds to the possibilities of digital creativity and future career opportunities. The experience also extended into creative recycling, where participants explored innovative ways to transform everyday discarded materials into useful products, reinforcing the importance of creativity, resourcefulness and environmental responsibility.
After three weeks of learning, exploration and hands-on activities, the bootcamp concluded with a graduation ceremony celebrating the participants’ progress and achievements. The teenagers shared reflections on their experiences and showcased individual creative recycling projects, demonstrating how they had translated some of their learning into practical outcomes. All eight participants received certificates of participation in recognition of their commitment and successful completion of the programme.
Beyond introducing teenagers to leadership and digital skills, the bootcamp provided a space for them to discover new interests, express their creativity and build confidence in their abilities. Through initiatives such as this, TBLF continues to create opportunities that nurture young people’s potential, broaden their horizons and equip them with the knowledge, skills and character to become transformational leaders.
