We provide relevant and tailored programmes that support effective youth transitions in the area of leadership, education, social change entrepreneurship and  employability for young people in Africa particularly Nigeria.


Job Overview:

The Bridge Leadership is seeking to hire a highly skilled Grant Writer/Programme Officer to join the team. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing funding opportunities through effective grant writing and will also contribute to the planning, implementation of our programs. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for driving social change.


  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other grant-making organizations.
  • Develop compelling grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications that align with The Bridge Leadership mission and priorities.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather information, data, and insights for grant proposals.
  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals and reports.
  • Work closely with program teams to contribute to the design, planning, and execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor program activities to ensure alignment with grant requirements and objectives.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets, timelines, and work plans.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with funding partners, donors, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and networking events to promote The Bridge Leadership Foundation and identify potential funding opportunities.



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, social sciences, communications).
  • Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising for NGOs or similar organizations.
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and experience in program development and implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the NGO sector, donor landscape, and international development issues.
